Message From The Pastor

Dear Friend,

Thanks for taking the time to look at our website. The purpose of First United Methodist Church is, "Putting Jesus First in our Lives. We are a downtown church with a long and fruitful history. We are also a young vibrant church with a bright future. We have many ministries to people from all walks of life and our members are active throughout the community. We strive as a community to share the love we have found in Christ and in our church.

We have developed five worship services that we believe will appeal to a broad range of people. Our 8:25 service in the Family Life Center is contemporary and casual and our 8:30 service in the Chapel is traditional & casual. Our 9:40 service is contemporary and casual and we meet in our Family Life Center. We have two 11:00 services. Our 11:00 service in the sanctuary is a traditional United Methodist service with great worship and music. Our 11:00 service in the Family Life Center "ELEVATION" is a youth and young adult oriented service and it is contemporary and casual.

We have many Sunday school classes for all ages. We encourage everyone to get involved in a ministry within the church and community.

We also have a Wednesday evening program for children, youth and adults. We begin with a meal at 5 and then we have our children, youth and adult meetings. Our adults meet together in the family life center for an adult bible study that I teach. It is a good time of food, fellowship and study of a chapter of the New Testament.
